search engine submission
And guaranteed placement? Heh, the only way that that's going to happen is via some sort of pay per inclusion method. Today, search engine placement takes considerably more time and knowledge than in the not so distant past. I've concluded that one plan does not fit all, but that numerous best practices in search engine optimization, regular search engine submissions, and content that has changed when a site is crawled are crucial to good placement. Because of this, I have come up with a number of annual search engine submission and content update plans. I submit to not only the 10 search engines and directories that drive the bulk of search engine generated traffic, but 45 others at minimum. I believe that Directory listings are crucial to better rankings in the search engines and encourage the use of Yahoo Express Submit for our commercial clients. I highly encourage clients to subscribe to one of the annual plans for content updates and submission. Plans B, C, and D all include more Directory submissions than Plan A. Most of these must be done by hand. I'm not going to take up space to list all of the search engines and directories I submit to because it changes on a per client basis. I do however, inform you what submissions have been made at the time of submission. I spend time reading about this material daily. If I had to write about it too, I might as well close this business and start a new one dedicated only to search engine placement. I do plan to attempt periodic newsletters addressing any major changes in this area, however and will add and delete search engines and directories from those I submit to as warranted.
