webkewl is a sole proprietorship that has been providing web site design services for small to medium sized businesses and organizations since 1998. As of June 15, 2010, webkewl will no longer be accepting new projects.

This has been a gut wrenching decision for me, however, the social isolation of working from home alone for so long has taken a toll in the wake of significant family loss and crisis over the last several years. With the help of a therapist, we determined that it would be best for my mental health to seek employment where I wasn't as socially isolated.

While I have yet to find that (and am taking a bit of time to regroup), I am in the process of actively winding down "webkewl". Clients are being transferred to other developers in some instances, and billing for hosting is being transferred directly to clients. I will continue to maintain a number of sites, but when it comes time for a re-design, I will respectfully ask clients to look elsewhere.

I have really enjoyed providing web sites for my clients these last 12 years. It's a great field for me as I like constant challenge and learning and it has certainly provided that. I also like people though, and I look forward to a day where I can walk into a workplace, say "hello" to co-workers, do a good days work, and at the end of it, go home to something different than what I see there!

Thank you to all of my clients who have been so kind and understanding during this transition. Such kindness has made the decision even more gut wrenching, but it's nice to know that so many care enough to offer to extend payment for services not rendered if it would help or to insist that I all them at any time if the future if there's anything THEY can do for ME. Such reaction was totally unexpected, and makes me very grateful to have served such a great group of businesses and organizations for so long.
