welcome

webkewl has been providing web site design services for small to medium sized businesses and organizations since 1998. In the past, server side applications utilized MGI to provide database driven projects. While concentration has shifted to PHP/MySQL for such development over the last few years, the release of MGI3 signals a foray back into MGI for custom development. Open source applications like “Joomla!” and “WordPress” will continue to be utilized for those sites where “reinventing the wheel” doesn't make much sense!

new release

dynesonline.com from Diversified Enterprises was already an interesting project... Launched in 2002, this custom MGI site was written from the ground up by webkewl (with a lot of help from the developer community!). It sports a registration system, shopping cart, credit application, custom volume pricing discounts, and more.. This year, we've “reinvented the wheel” by adding the abililty to purchase products from accudynetest.com, and to request a pro forma invoice.

The system is extensive and perfect for small to medium sized entities that need to provide pro forma invoicing, as it is expected to drastically reduce the amount of time spent processing these requests via phone and fax.

If you require a pro forma invoicing solution on the web, please take a moment to look at this page which details the features of this system: The Pro Forma Invoice Shopping Cart

Peter Passell, Economics at WorkPeter Passell is man who, in his own words, has “been fortunate enough to have multiple careers”. He was a professor at Columbia University before moving to the editorial board of The New York Times and later to the newsroom. About ten years ago, he was offered the opportunity to become editor of the Milken Institute Review, which he continues to do today. You can learn more of his background here.

He also continues to research and write in the area of economics. With his latest book, “Where to Put Your Money Now”, he decided it was time for his own website.

Peterpassell.com utilizes a database driven content management system allowing Peter to easily add new content to the site. I would expect the content to expand significantly from this recent launch as he continues to research economic related issues.

Plant rooters from Vermont Nature CreationsLaunched in May, Vermont Nature Creations is owned by the Emmons family of Poultney, VT. These Vermont made, hand-crafted plant rooters are truly beautiful in a window (I can personally attest to this as they gave me one!). Fashioned from copper, there are a wide variety of styles to choose from in the categories of classic plant rooters or stained glass plant rooters.

Accessories such as replacement vases and wall/extension hooks, and add-ons like decorative glass beads and magnetic bugs are also available to further enhance these pieces. The site also includes some great information on getting the best results from your new plant rooter.

The site utilizes a database driven content management system (Joomla!) and the VirtueMart e-commerce compononent.
